No Bake Bird Nest Cookies
Time to make: 10 minutes
Serves 24
Ingredients
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (note: substitute butterscotch chips or do a combination of half chocolate and half butterscotch)
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups chow mein noodles
Peanuts, jelly beans, or “robin’s egg” candies
Directions
- Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
- Place chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave-safe container. Heat on 50% power for approximately 1 minute. Stir, and repeat, until chocolate chips are fully melted.
- Stir in chow mein noodles until fully coated.
- Drop by tablespoonsful onto prepared baking sheet, forming a nest shape with your fingers or with a spoon sprayed with cooking spray.
- Place a few peanuts, jelly beans, or “robin’s egg” candies in the center of each nest for eggs.
- Refrigerate until firm.
