No Bake Bird Nest Cookies

  • Time to make: 10 minutes
  • Serves 24

Ingredients

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (note:  substitute butterscotch chips or do a combination of half chocolate and half butterscotch)
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups chow mein noodles
  • Peanuts, jelly beans, or “robin’s egg” candies

Directions

  • Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
  • Place chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave-safe container. Heat on 50% power for approximately 1 minute. Stir, and repeat, until chocolate chips are fully melted.
  • Stir in chow mein noodles until fully coated.
  • Drop by tablespoonsful onto prepared baking sheet, forming a nest shape with your fingers or with a spoon sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Place a few peanuts, jelly beans, or “robin’s egg” candies  in the center of each nest for eggs.
  • Refrigerate until firm.
