No Bake Bird Nest Cookies

Kids at home?  Well, we are bringing this fun and cute recipe back this week for all the family to enjoy!  These little nest cookies are perfect for an afternoon while hanging in the house!  Time to get everyone involved!  Happy Almost Easter!!!  ENJOY!

 

No Bake Bird Nest Cookies

 

Time to make: 10 minutes

Serves 24

 

Ingredients

 

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (note:  substitute butterscotch chips or do a combination of half chocolate and half butterscotch)

1 cup peanut butter

2 cups chow mein noodles

Peanuts, jelly beans, or “robin’s egg” candies

 

 

Directions

  1. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
  2. Place chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave-safe container. Heat on 50% power for approximately 1 minute. Stir, and repeat, until chocolate chips are fully melted.
  3. Stir in chow mein noodles until fully coated.
  4. Drop by tablespoonsful onto prepared baking sheet, forming a nest shape with your fingers or with a spoon sprayed with cooking spray.
  5. Place a few peanuts, jelly beans, or “robin’s egg” candies  in the center of each nest for eggs.
  6. Refrigerate until firm.
