Most of us love to be happy. Smiles and laughter go hand in hand.   Can laughter actually be good for our health?  You may be surprised at the answer.  Take a look at what  Mayo Clinic  says. Laughter is a form of stress relief, and it is documented that physical changes occur in our bodies when we laugh – both long and short-term.

Did you know that April is National Humor Month? It’s true!   April 2019 is the 43rd anniversary of National Humor Month which was founded in 1976 by humorist and author Larry Wilde, Director of the Carmel Institute of Humor.  The purpose of National Humor Month is to promote the value of humor in improving health and enriching the quality of life. Most of us love to laugh, and the average adult laughs 17 times a day according to  Science Made Fun.  They also tell us that humans are the only species that laughs.  While it may seem “easy,” laughter is actually a complex response that involves many of the same skills used in solving problems.  Who knew?

What things can YOU do to laugh more?  Do it for your health – and have fun doing it!
